Orders & Shipping
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free shipping is included on all spiral-bound city map orders and on any order over $200. Wall map orders under $200 ship for a flat $20.
How long does delivery take?
Shipping times vary depending on the carrier used and your location, but we always try to get your maps to you as quickly as possible. Spiral-bound city map orders typically ship within 1–2 business days. Wall maps and custom orders may take a bit longer — we'll keep you posted on timing.
Do you ship outside Canada?
We don't currently offer standard shipping to the US or internationally. If you're located outside Canada and interested in ordering, get in touch and we'll do our best to work something out.
Can I order by phone or email instead of online?
Yes. You can reach us at (204) 943-0354 or sales@sherlockmaps.com to place an order directly.
What is your return and refund policy?
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If something isn't right, contact us within 30 days of receiving your order at sales@sherlockmaps.com or (204) 943-0354 and we'll arrange a refund or exchange. Items must be unused and in their original condition. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or we made an error. Custom map orders are non-refundable once production has begun, but we'll work closely with you during the proofing process to make sure the final product is right before printing.
Products
What's the difference between the spiral-bound city map and a wall map?
The spiral-bound city map is a compact, spiral-bound book designed for vehicle use — it lies flat, fits in a glove box, and covers the full city street network with an index. Wall maps are large-format single-sheet maps designed for mounting in an office, dispatch centre, or boardroom.
How often are the maps updated?
Sherlock's City Map of Winnipeg is now in its 25th edition. New editions are published roughly every 18–24 months to capture new developments, road changes, and annexations. Wall maps are updated on a similar cycle as significant changes occur.
Are the wall maps laminated?
Yes — all wall maps come laminated by default for durability and easy mounting. If you're interested in a non-laminated version on our high-quality paper stock, reach out to us directly and we can arrange that.
Can I write on a laminated map with a marker?
Yes — the laminated surface is dry-erase compatible. Use a marker to add routes, annotations, or custom markings, then wipe them clean with rubbing alcohol and a cloth. Great for dispatch centres and field planning.
What size are the wall maps?
Wall maps vary in size depending on the product — each product page lists the available dimensions under "Sizes." For custom maps, the widest we can print in a single sheet is 44 inches. Need to go bigger? We can split your map into panels that tile together side by side — twice the wall space, same level of detail.
Do you have maps of cities other than Winnipeg and Calgary?
We currently publish maps of Winnipeg, Calgary, and Manitoba. For other regions, custom map orders are available — contact us to discuss your needs.
Custom Maps
What kinds of custom maps can you produce?
Territory maps, service area maps, branded wall maps, custom coverage area maps, and more. See the Custom Maps page for details.
How do I get a quote for a custom map?
Email us at sales@sherlockmaps.com with a description of what you need — coverage area, intended use, quantity, and any branding requirements. We'll get back to you with questions and a rough estimate.
How long does a custom map take?
Faster than you'd think — custom maps can be ready in as little as the same or next business day, depending on the scope of your project and our availability. Get in touch and we'll give you a timeline for your specific needs.
